Financial Aspects of Drug & Alcohol Treatment at Caron

Caron is a private-pay drug and alcohol treatment facility that prides itself on providing the most comprehensive treatment options for our patients. Similarly, Caron works to ensure that all individuals seeking treatment for themselves or a loved one are given an equal opportunity to access treatment. One’s treatment investment is not something that should be taken lightly; Caron will work with all individuals to find the appropriate financial assistance when necessary.

The total investment for treatment at Caron is based on a 4-6 week primary residential treatment stay, and 90-days of residential extended care treatment.

Using Insurance
Caron helps patients access any out of network benefits they may have available to them on their insurance policies. Once a patient is admitted to one of Caron’s treatment programs, we will gather their insurance information and one of our Financial Specialists will contact their insurance company and follow utilization procedures as required by their policy.  Verification of insurance benefits is not a guarantee of payment. Caron will, as a courtesy, bill most insurances for benefits potentially available for the particular program the patient is participating in as it is licensed.

Financial Options
Payment for your treatment investment at Caron can be made either before or upon admission. Caron accepts certified checks, cash, credit cards (AMEX, MasterCard, Visa, Discover), or wire transfers.

Caron asks that patients and their families look at all personal financial resources available to them that can be used to contribute to the cost of treatment at Caron.

Caron also works with a medical loan company that can assist with providing the financing needed for a patient’s investment in treatment. They offer reasonable interest rates and low monthly payments for those who qualify. Although Caron is not affiliated with this loan company, Admissions Specialists can provide contact and other information about these programs.

Financial Assistance
Caron, itself, believes in the importance of investing in one’s recovery. On a needs basis, Caron may provide partial financial assistance through various scholarship funds to patients who qualify for such assistance. In the 2009-2010 fiscal year, Caron provided $9.9 million in charity care/scholarships to individuals. Caron continues to be a leader in the drug and alcohol addiction treatment field when it comes to awarding scholarships to patients in need.
